I'm sure these are lost forever but I wanted to make sure I did everything I could before giving up.
I've had jotterpad across 3 phones. My first phone was a Samsung Galaxy s3, my second was an s7, and my current is an s21. In I have kepts my old phones just in case I ever needed anything. I had some documents on my s7 that I now cannot find.
Yesterday I thought about some documents on it that I wanted to continue after a few years hiatus. I powered on both my old phones to find these. Plenty of older documents were on my S3 saved locally. I also backed these up to Dropbox right away so I have them saved now. Apparently I did not back up anything on the s7. I thought everything was saved locally, but jotterpad was not installed when I powered on the phone. (I think I was planning to trade in my phone and may have uninstalled apps when I got my new phone, but I eventually decided not to trade in and just kept the old phone) I reinstalled it, found all my folders labeled with different groups of works just as I rememeber, but each folder is empty. I'm 99% sure I didn't manually delete these files. I've tried connecting to Dropbox, Google and Samsung clouds to no avail. I've tried the restore function in the app, but it just says there are no old versions (I'm guessing because the app had been uninstalled?) I also tried reinserting my sim card but that predictably did nothing. Most of these documents were probably worked on 3-4 years ago. Am I missing something else I could try or are these files lost forever?
